2023 has most definitely been a significant year for social media platforms but one which stands out the most for us is the transformation from Twitter to X. Billionaire Elon Musk purchased Twitter back in October 2022 for a whopping $44 billion. With the rise of other popular social media platforms, like Instagram and TikTok, we saw Twitter’s decline in popularity. When Elon Musk took over though, Twitter had lost an estimated 13% of its daily active users, according to Big Technology.
Several months after Musk’s significant purchase, the rebrand of Twitter to X took place. The logo has changed from Twitter to X – a black background with a giant X has now taken over the iconic blue bird logo.
